What is a LinkedIn QR code?

A LinkedIn QR code is a square code that opens your LinkedIn profile or company page when someone points a phone camera at it. It's the fastest way to swap details in person: no spelling your name, no searching, no business card that ends up in a drawer.

Before you hand it around, make sure the profile people land on is ready. Our free LinkedIn Profile Optimizer scores your headline and About section in seconds.

How do I make a LinkedIn QR code?

  1. On desktop, open your profile and copy the URL from the address bar. For a company page, open the page and copy its URL.
  2. Paste it into the generator above. The tool tidies the link for you.
  3. Pick your colors and add a logo if you want one. Keep the code dark on a light background.
  4. Scan the preview with your own phone to check it opens the right page.
  5. Download it as PNG for slides, posts and email, or SVG for print.

How do I find my LinkedIn QR code in the app?

Every LinkedIn member has a personal QR code, and it lives in the mobile app rather than on desktop. The steps below follow LinkedIn's help article "Using a LinkedIn QR Code to Connect with Members", which documents iOS and Android separately.

Find and save your own code

On iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the LinkedIn app on your phone.
  2. Tap the QR code icon in the search bar at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  3. Tap the "My code" tab to see your own code.
  4. Tap "Share my code" to send it by message, email or another app, or "Save to photos" to keep a copy in your photo gallery.
  5. Pick an option from the dropdown that appears and follow the prompts.

On Android

  1. Open the LinkedIn app on your phone.
  2. Tap the QR code icon in the search bar at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
  3. Tap the "MY CODE" tab to see your own code.
  4. Tap "SAVE TO GALLERY" to save a copy to your photo gallery, then share that image from wherever you need it.

Scan someone else's code

On iPhone and iPad

  1. Open the app and tap the same QR code icon in the search bar.
  2. Tap the "Scan" tab.
  3. Hold your phone directly above the other person's code, or tap "Scan from photos" to use a code you already saved.

On Android

  1. Open the app and tap the same QR code icon in the search bar.
  2. Tap the "SCAN" tab.
  3. Tap "ENABLE CAMERA ACCESS" the first time you use it.
  4. Hold your phone directly above the code, or tap "ADD CODE FROM GALLERY" to use a saved image.

A scan takes you to that person's profile. It does not connect you on its own, so send the invite from their profile while you still remember the conversation.

What is different on iOS and Android

LinkedIn moves these buttons around between app versions, so if a label looks different, look for the QR icon in the search bar first. Everything else sits one tap behind it.

When to use this generator instead

The app code always points at your personal profile, in whatever style the app gives it, at screen resolution. Use the generator above when you need a code for a company page, a code in your own colors or with your logo, or a file sharp enough to print on a banner.

Where to use your LinkedIn QR code

Tips for a LinkedIn QR code that scans every time

  1. Dark code, light background. Inverted or pale codes fail on many phones.
  2. Print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, bigger for banners people scan from far away.
  3. Keep the logo small. The tool caps it so the code still scans.
  4. Use SVG for print, PNG for screens.
  5. Test with two different phones before you print 500 cards.
  6. Put a short line next to it, like "Scan to connect on LinkedIn", so people know where it goes.

FAQ

Is this LinkedIn QR code generator free?

Yes, it is free with no signup and no limit. Make as many codes as you like and download them in PNG or SVG.

Does my LinkedIn QR code expire?

No, it never expires. The code points straight at your LinkedIn link with no redirect in between, so it keeps working as long as that link does. If you change your custom profile URL later, make a new code.

Can I make a QR code for a LinkedIn company page?

Yes, paste your company page link and the generator makes a code for it the same way. It works for school and showcase pages too.

Can I add my logo to a LinkedIn QR code?

Yes, upload a logo and the tool places it in the center. It also switches to a stronger error correction level so the code still scans with the logo on top.

Should I download PNG or SVG?

Use PNG for slides, posts and email, and SVG for anything printed. SVG stays sharp at any size, from a business card to a booth banner.

Does LeadShark see or store my LinkedIn link?

No. The code is made in your browser, and your link and logo are never sent to our servers. You don't connect LinkedIn to use it.

Turn scans into conversations
