LinkedIn Connection Limit: How Many Requests Per Week in 2026

LinkedIn does not publish a fixed number of connection requests you can send per day or per week. Its help pages say every member, free or Premium, is subject to invitation limits, and that hitting the limit usually restricts sending for about a week. The popular "100 a week" figure comes from blog posts and tool tutorials, not from LinkedIn. What you can control is your pace and how many requests sit unanswered.

What LinkedIn actually says about the limit

  • There is no published daily or weekly number. LinkedIn's help page "Invitation limit reached" says limits apply to all members, Basic and Premium, and that you can't buy more invitations.
  • Three triggers are named: sending many invitations in a short time, many invitations being ignored, left pending or marked as spam, and sending an excessive number when LinkedIn suspects an automation tool, which can lead to a suspension or restriction.
  • A restriction typically lasts one week. Withdrawing pending invitations does not lift it, and LinkedIn Support can't shorten it or explain the reason.

Sources: LinkedIn Help, "Invitation limit reached" and "Types of restrictions for sending invitations", both checked Nov 4, 2026.

The numbers you will see online (and where they come from)

Figure you'll see What it is
100 a week Community estimate, not a LinkedIn figure
200 a week Community estimate, not a LinkedIn figure
15 to 20 a day Community estimate, not a LinkedIn figure

Your own ceiling moves with your acceptance rate and how fast you send.

Premium, Sales Navigator and the personalized note

Premium does not raise the invitation limit; LinkedIn's help says limits may still apply. Personalized notes are a separate cap: free accounts get a few notes a month, and Premium is unlimited.

What happens when you hit the limit

  • One restriction: wait a few hours.
  • Several in one day: wait a few days.
  • Too many outstanding invitations: up to a month, per LinkedIn's restrictions page.
  • Withdrawn invites: after you withdraw an invite you can't resend to the same person for up to three weeks.
  • Network cap: 30,000 1st-degree connections.

How to stay under your own ceiling

  1. Keep a weekly count: sent, accepted, still pending.
  2. Spread sends across workdays instead of one burst.
  3. Keep the pending list short; withdraw old ones (and remember the three-week resend lock).
  4. Send to people with a reason to accept: they commented, replied or engaged with your post.
  5. Ramp up slowly on a new or quiet account.

How LeadShark paces connection requests

LeadShark connection requests go up to 80 a day and 200 a week on all paid plans, with human-like delays, off-hours and an optional warm-up mode for new accounts. Those are ceilings, not targets: LinkedIn's real limit is account-specific. LeadShark runs in the cloud from your own account and sends just the actions you set up.

For DMs, you set your own daily limit from 0 to 250 (150 recommended max); see LinkedIn DM limit per day. For the safety side, read is LinkedIn comment to DM automation safe? and cloud vs extension automation. Plans and limits are on the pricing page, and the LinkedIn comment to DM tool shows how requests and DMs work together.

FAQ

How many connection requests can I send per week on LinkedIn?

LinkedIn publishes no number. Limits apply to everyone and depend on your pace and how people respond.

How long does the invitation limit last?

Typically one week; longer if you have too many outstanding invitations.

Does LinkedIn Premium raise the connection limit?

No. Per LinkedIn's help pages, limits may still apply. Premium lifts the personalized note allowance, not the invitation limit.

Does withdrawing pending requests reset the limit?

No. It helps your pending count, but it won't remove an active restriction.

What is the max number of LinkedIn connections?

30,000 1st-degree connections.

How many connection requests does LeadShark send?

Up to 80 a day and 200 a week on all paid plans, with human-like pacing, off-hours and an optional warm-up mode.
