Prosp vs LeadShark: Outbound DMs or Inbound Lead Magnets?
Updated Nov 1, 2026
Prosp vs LeadShark: AI cold outbound with voice notes vs comment-to-DM lead magnets. Looking for a Prosp alternative? Compare price, agencies and MCP.
The 30-second answer
Prosp and LeadShark both automate LinkedIn messages, but they start from opposite ends of the conversation.
Prosp is an outbound tool. You build a list, and it writes each message from the prospect's profile and recent activity, adds a voice note in your cloned voice, and sends the sequence from one or many LinkedIn accounts, each on its own residential proxy.
LeadShark is an inbound tool. Someone comments on your post, gets a public reply, and gets your lead magnet in their DMs, connected or not. Every comment is a person who already asked.
Pick Prosp if you sell cold outbound, for yourself or for agency clients. Pick LeadShark if your posts pull comments and you want every one turned into a delivered resource and a lead.

The big differences
Who starts the conversation
Outbound works when the message earns a reply from someone who didn't ask. That is what Prosp's AI messages and voice notes are for.
A lead magnet comment is the opposite. The person raised their hand in public and is waiting for what you promised. The job is speed and coverage: answer every comment, deliver every resource, and reach the commenters who aren't connected to you yet. LeadShark does exactly that, with replies in under 10 minutes on average. Leave the keyword empty and no comment goes unanswered.
Price for one account, and for a team
Prosp prices per connected LinkedIn account: $79.99 a month for 1 to 5 accounts, $59.99 for 6 to 30 and $39.99 for 31 or more, with lower rates on annual billing.
LeadShark starts at $39 a month. With LeadShark Teams, 3 or more accounts go on one bill at $30 per Pro account, $50 per Pro+ account and $100 per Apex account a month, in any mix. For a 10-account team on Pro, that is $300 a month.
If you run 31 or more accounts of pure cold outbound, Prosp's top tier is built for that volume.
Lead magnets on Prosp
Prosp's help center has a guide to automating lead magnet replies by building a campaign around a post. It works as a workflow inside an outbound tool.
LeadShark is the workflow. Keyword triggers (several per automation) or any comment, a public reply, the DM with your link, auto-connect with commenters you aren't connected to, follow-ups just for people who didn't reply, and you can automate a post before it goes live.
After the DM
LeadShark sends your link as a short link so you see who clicked. You can put the resource behind an email-gated page (Pro and up), push new comments and emails out with webhooks, and on Apex reply as your company page and DM commenters you aren't connected to. I didn't find email capture or click tracking on Prosp's site. Prosp goes deeper on outbound analytics: reply and acceptance funnels, sender leaderboards and account health.
Agents and MCP
Both companies talk a lot about AI agents. On LeadShark it's in the product today: Pro+ includes the Automation and Discover MCPs, and Apex includes the full Apex MCP, so Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor can run your lead magnet posts end to end. LeadShark Teams runs every opted-in account from one MCP connection. Prosp's help center covers webhooks, Zapier and Make.
Safety
Prosp runs each account through a dedicated residential proxy and paces activity like a person. LeadShark runs in the cloud after a one-time connect, and you set your own daily DM limit from 0 to 250 (150 recommended), with pacing learned from 10M+ real LinkedIn actions. LeadShark messages the people who commented on your post, nobody else. LinkedIn can restrict any automated account whichever tool you use, and no tool can promise otherwise.
When Prosp is the better pick
- You sell cold outbound and want AI to write each message from the prospect's profile and posts.
- You want voice notes in your own cloned voice inside every sequence.
- You need to find leads: LinkedIn and Sales Navigator search, post engagers, CSV imports and a Chrome extension.
- You run dozens of sender accounts for clients and want one unified inbox with account rotation.
That is a real use case, and Prosp is built for it. LeadShark isn't built for cold outbound.

FAQ
Is LeadShark a Prosp alternative?
Yes, when your pipeline comes from posts. LeadShark replaces Prosp if you want posts that pull comments, inbound lead magnets that DM everyone who asked in under 10 minutes on average, agencies running client posts, and a lower price per account: $30 a month per Pro account on LeadShark Teams vs $39.99 to $79.99 per account on Prosp. It doesn't replace Prosp for cold outbound to people who never engaged with you. Prosp is built for that.
Is Prosp cheaper than LeadShark?
Not for one account. Prosp starts at $79.99 per account a month for 1 to 5 accounts. LeadShark starts at $39 a month, and LeadShark Teams runs 3 or more accounts from $30 per account a month. Prosp drops to $39.99 per account once you run 31 or more accounts.
Can Prosp send my lead magnet to people who comment?
Its help center has a guide for building comment auto-replies from a campaign. LeadShark is built for that one job: keyword or any-comment triggers, a public reply, the DM with your resource, auto-connect for commenters you are not connected to, and a response in under 10 minutes on average.
Which is better for agencies?
It depends on the service you sell. Appointment-setting agencies running cold outbound for clients are Prosp's core market. Content, ghostwriting and personal-brand agencies whose clients post lead magnets get more from LeadShark Teams: one bill, any mix of plans, and every opted-in account run from one MCP connection.
Can I use Prosp and LeadShark together?
Yes, for different jobs. A common split is outbound sequences on sales accounts and LeadShark on the founder or client posts that pull comments. Avoid running two automation tools on the same LinkedIn account at the same moment, and keep your total daily actions sensible.
Do both have a free trial?
Yes. LeadShark has a 7-day free trial with no card. Prosp lists a 14-day free trial and a 30-day money-back guarantee on its pricing page.
