SayLink vs LeadShark: Which LinkedIn Lead Magnet Tool?

Updated Oct 14, 2026

SayLink vs LeadShark for LinkedIn lead magnets: price, trial, reply speed, daily DMs, non-connected commenters and company pages, compared honestly.

The 30-second answer

SayLink and LeadShark do the same core job. Someone comments "GUIDE" on your LinkedIn post, the comment gets a like and a reply, and your resource lands in their DMs.

The two biggest differences are speed and reach. LeadShark answers in under 10 minutes on average. SayLink's site says it usually answers within a few hours. And LeadShark reaches commenters you're not connected to on every plan, while SayLink's site doesn't say how it handles them.

Pick LeadShark if you want commenters answered while your post is still hot, need to reach people outside your network, want to try it free first, or want to see who actually clicked.

Pick SayLink if you want one flat plan with unlimited automations and the lowest yearly price, and you're fine paying upfront with a 14-day refund.

The big differences

Speed: the first hour decides whether your post spreads

A lead magnet post lives or dies in its first hour. Every comment tells LinkedIn the post is worth showing to more people. When commenters get a quick reply on the comment and the resource in their DMs, they stay engaged: they reply back, tag a colleague, and more people comment. That activity pushes the post further.

When replies are slow, the opposite happens. Commenters move on, the thread goes quiet, and the post fades out before it reaches the people who would have asked for your guide next.

LeadShark answers in under 10 minutes on average, so the reply and the DM land while the post is still climbing. SayLink's site says it checks your post several times a day and usually answers within a few hours.

Commenters you're not connected to

This is the part most people miss. On a lead magnet post that takes off, a large share of the comments come from people outside your network, because that's who the post reaches as it spreads. LinkedIn won't let you DM them the normal way, so a tool that only messages your connections leaves them waiting with nothing.

LeadShark handles them on every plan. It replies to their comment asking them to connect, sends the connection request automatically with Auto-Connect, and DMs the resource the moment they accept. On Apex you can DM them directly without waiting for the accept.

SayLink's site doesn't say whether or how it handles commenters you're not connected to. If a lot of your comments come from outside your network, ask them before you choose.

Setup: pick your post, no URL

In SayLink's setup, the last step is pasting the URL of the post you want to automate. LeadShark never asks for a URL. It shows all your posts in a searchable list, you pick one and click Automate, so there's nothing to copy and no chance of pasting the wrong link.

Daily volume

On every LeadShark plan, you set 0 to 250 DMs (150 recommended max). SayLink doesn't publish its daily limits on its site.

Price and trial

At $39 a month, SayLink's one plan and LeadShark Pro cost the same. SayLink gives you unlimited automations for that, and Pro gives you 10 running automations. SayLink's yearly plan at $299 ($24.92 a month) is the lowest price here, and hard to beat if you run lots of posts.

The difference is how you start. LeadShark has a 7-day free trial with no card. SayLink asks for a card when you start, and you can get a full refund within 14 days.

Extras

LeadShark adds things SayLink doesn't list: click tracking through short links, follow-ups based on what people did, email-gated pages, Kit and Beehiiv sync, webhooks, and MCPs so AI agents can run your automations. Apex adds visitor and follower webhooks and lets your company page auto-reply as the Page.

SayLink keeps it simpler, and for a lot of people that's the point.

Numbers

LeadShark has captured 2.9M+ comments and delivered 2.6M+ DMs for 5,000+ creators since 2024. SayLink's domain was registered in January 2026, and it has an Ahrefs Domain Rating of about 1 out of 100.

When SayLink is the better pick

SayLink is a good fit if you want one plan with unlimited automations, the lowest yearly price ($299 a year), and email delivery built in, and replies within a few hours work for your audience.

FAQ

Is SayLink cheaper than LeadShark?

Monthly, they start at the same $39. SayLink's yearly plan ($299, or $24.92 a month) is cheaper than LeadShark Pro yearly and includes unlimited automations. LeadShark's higher plans cost more and add features SayLink doesn't list.

Does SayLink have a free trial?

No. SayLink asks for a card when you start and offers a full refund within 14 days. LeadShark has a 7-day free trial with no card.

Which one answers comments faster?

LeadShark answers in under 10 minutes on average. SayLink says it checks posts several times a day and usually answers within a few hours.

Can LeadShark DM commenters I'm not connected to?

Yes, on every plan. LeadShark replies to the comment asking them to connect, sends the connection request with Auto-Connect, and DMs the resource once they accept. Apex DMs non-connections directly. SayLink's site doesn't say how it handles them.

Which is easier to set up?

Both are quick. The main difference is picking the post: SayLink asks you to paste the post URL, while LeadShark shows your posts in a searchable list and you click Automate on the one you want.

How many DMs a day can each send?

On LeadShark, you set 0 to 250 DMs (150 recommended max). SayLink doesn't list its daily limits on its site.

Does either work with company pages?

Both do. LinkedIn Pages can't send DMs, so LeadShark sends DMs from your personal profile for comments on Page posts (Pro+ and Apex), and on Apex the Page can auto-reply publicly. SayLink says it covers company pages by DM and email.

Do I need LinkedIn Premium?

Neither tool needs it.

How does LeadShark connect to LinkedIn?

A one-time connect with our Chrome extension, then it runs in the cloud. You don't need to keep a tab open.

Where is LeadShark based?
